Exhibition drew a huge crowd: IFRA Expo 2010
Some 10,000 visitors from 80 countries visited the three-day IFRA Expo 2010, the world’s largest trade fair for the news publishing industry, which closed in Hamburg on Wednesday 6 October. The 40th edition of the show presented an abundance of innovations.
INCQC Awards: WAN-IFRA congratulates all winners
The occasion of a gala dinner held directly after IFRA Expo 2010 in Hamburg was availed of to congratulate the new members of the International Newspaper Color Quality Club. In addition, the "Star-Club" was established into which all newspapers were welcomed that participated successfully at least five times in the INCQC competition. The name was chosen with reference to the legendary Star-Club in Hamburg, where The Beatles began their career 50 years ago.
New Film: The Struggle for a Free Press Continues
The World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers is committed to defending and promoting a free and independent press worldwide. A free press is the guardian of the right to freedom of expression for millions of people across the globe, but for billions more this basic right is denied, meaning their voices often go unheard.
