Eamonn Byrne, left, WAN-IFRA’s business director, explains the structure and organization of the audit bureaus of circulation (ABCs) in mature publishing markets at the seminar on Media Measurement and Circulation Auditing.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Eugene Abov, vice-president of both GIPP and WAN-IFRA, announced a new GIPP initiative to pool together associations of publishers, advertisers and researchers to form a Russian ABC that will be trusted by advertisers and promote newspapers and magazines as a lucrative vehicle for advertising.
