Newspaper Congress

Alexander P. Strakhov, Chief Executive Officer, Media3, discussed the economic crisis that Russia is just now beginning to feel at this morning's Newspaper Congress.

Media3 is the largest media group in Russia, whose core are national and local newspapers (both paid and free), with 5.2 billion paid copies per day. Previously, Media3 was comprised of four editorial and business offices, but they have now merged into a single locaton, which has maximized their efficiency during the economic crisis.

During the merge, they noticed some key points to running their business from one office:

1. Think, study and prepare carefully

2. Cut back but create opportunities

3. Do not damage the main product.
