Pakistan Newspapers Join WAN-IFRA

The All Pakistan Newspaper Society, which represents 304 newspapers and six advertising agencies, has joined the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA), which groups 79 publisher associations, 18,000 newspapers, 15,000 online sites and over 3,000 companies world-wide.

APNS was formally admitted by the Board of WAN-IFRA, which met during the World Newspaper Congress and World Editors Forum in Hyderabad, India.

He said that they came to the realization that there’s no way they could outdo television and they needed to find other ways to increase readership.
