WIFAG has made no secret since this past fall that it was seeking a strong partner after announcing a significant job reduction plan. It looks like the Swiss press manufacturer has found it in the form of manroland. Gerd Finkbeiner, CEO of manroland AG, confirmed Friday in a company press release that the press manufacturer is indeed negotiating the purchase of WIFAG AG.
The corresponding letter of intent was signed, and negotiations should be finalised in the spring, according to the press release.
