A fresh look at GREYBALANCE in colour picture reproduction

Greybalance is pervasive at all stages of colour reproduction. It is necessary to control and ensure that no additional colour bias is added by the processing chain. A colour cast in an image that appears at the press is not going to be removed by printing the CMY process control target to a colour neutral standard.
