Juan Senor, vice president of the International Media Consulting Group, discussed the 2009 Global Report on Innovations in Newspapers. He answered three main questions: What do people want from a newspaper in the 21st century? Where is the money? How do we get there?

Senor predicted that the paper will always be around.  Although it will never die, the business model and the content proposition have changed.

Newspaper Congress: Bowallius: Home with the flu

Per Bowallius, president of GISAB, Mitt i, was missing from this morning's session, The Resourceful Newspaper Company: Achieving Business Efficiency and Creating a Sustainable Future.

Bowallius, from Sweden, reportedly has the swine flu and was not allowed into the country. His presentation was entitled "Conquering the Big City Market from the Suburbs."

The session will continue with its first two speakers: Marieke van der Donk and Alexander P. Strakhov.
